LUXURY SAFARI LODGE
The Sabi Sabi Game Reserve is a private nature reserve adjacent to Kruger Park from the southwest. The border between them exists only on the map, and therefore the wildlife of both parks is very similar. Among the animals that can be found during morning and night safaris are zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and, of course, the "big five" (rhinoceros, elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard). Shelters have been built deep in the bush, from which it is convenient to observe birds – there are more than 350 species of them here.
Key information
The lodge is located in an acacia grove between the Sabi and Sand Rivers. There are migration trails of animals that move from the interior of Kruger Park to Sabi Sabi Game Reserve and back in search of food. In the 19th century, during the local "gold rush", a railway was built here; its remains have been preserved to this day. The interiors of the lodge are designed in the style of that time and decorated with souvenirs of antiquity - railway lanterns, signs with the names of steam locomotives, etc. Traditional oil lamps are used for lighting.
Dining experience
Guests can dine in their own rooms or at tables set around a large bonfire in the outdoor dining room ("boma").
