A private nature reserve, part of the Kruger National Park. Ngala means "lion" in the local Shangaan dialect. This name was chosen for the park not by chance: on its territory, which occupies about 15,000 hectares, these giant cats feel at home. There are also other animals of the "big five" – leopard, buffalo, rhinoceros and elephant. (The park administration is proud of the fact that whole herds of elephants live on its territory.) Buffaloes, zebras and antelopes graze in the savannahs. If you're lucky, you can see a rare African wild dog. In addition, the park is home to hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, cheetahs and more than 260 species of birds.

Key information
The lodge is located in the northern part of the park, on the banks of the Mapone River. The terrace of the lodge overlooks the river – from here you can watch the animals coming to drink. The interiors of the luxurious cottages are decorated in light cream tones and decorated with native sculptures. The rooms are furnished with antique furniture. Guests of the lodge can dine in the traditional boma dining room or in the elegant courtyard of the lodge, illuminated by elegant wrought-iron lamps.
