A small but luxurious hotel is located opposite the famous "temple of a thousand Buddhas" – Borobudura.
This unique temple complex, founded in the 8th century, is one of the most impressive examples of Buddhist architecture and sculpture in the whole world. Amanjiwo has a total of 36 Suites located on a hillside in the form of two crescents. The buildings of the hotel are built of local limestone in a traditional Javanese style. Architectural motifs of Borobudur buildings are used in their appearance. The outdoor terraces offer stunning views of the temple, the surrounding rice fields and the distant volcanoes Merbabu, Merapi, Sundoro and Sumbing. Guests of the hotel can take a private tour of the ancient temples of Java, visit the picturesque local villages or take an exciting elephant safari in Borobudur.
